Being involved with Young Professionals of Akron can help you develop and enhance your leadership skills all while making new friendships and connections in the process! Young Professionals of Akron is seeking new members to join us and there is no application deadline, we accept on-coming board and committee members year round!
We are looking for YPA members who are motivated by our mission and have a little extra time to dedicate to our cause. We’re an all-volunteer based board of directors and understand the importance of balancing volunteerism efforts with work and home life. For this reason, we welcome individuals no matter the amount of time they can commit. There are opportunities for everyone to get involved and we’re open to working with you to find your best fit!

- Is a member of Young Professionals of Akron
- Attends all Board meetings
- Prepares and presents financials to Board of Directors, monthly
- Understands financial accounting for non-profit organizations
- Prepares annual budget for approval
- Files annual 990N
- Checks and manages PO Box
- Oversees financial transactions

- Attends all Board meetings
- Takes and reviews minutes of all Board meetings

- Maintains and ensures accuracy of all Board records
- Tracks attendance of Board and Committee members
